Gaurav Rajput has joined DBS Bank as Managing Director and Head of Group Marketing and Communications for India. In his new role, he will lead the bank’s integrated marketing and communications strategy in one of its key growth markets.
Rajput brings over two decades of leadership experience across banking, financial services and media. Most recently, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL), where he led marketing strategy across the Group’s portfolio of publications, focusing on brand positioning, digital engagement and strategic initiatives.
Prior to BCCL, Rajput was Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate & Investment Bank Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank. In that capacity, he drove marketing across multiple international markets and was part of the Country Management Team for India and South Asia. His responsibilities included leading brand campaigns, overseeing social media strategy, managing corporate social responsibility initiatives and strengthening engagement with key industry stakeholders.
He was also a member of the founding executive team at IDFC Bank, where he helped build and institutionalise the bank’s marketing and communications function. Earlier in his career, Rajput held senior roles at Cigna TTK, contributing to corporate strategy, marketing, product development and regulatory affairs.
At DBS Bank, Rajput is expected to steer brand strategy, corporate communications and stakeholder engagement, aligning marketing with the bank’s broader digital-first growth agenda in India.
