  • CEAT has appointed Apurva Chandra as Additional Director in the role of Non-Executive, Independent Director for a five-year term.

  • Paras Chowdhary brings over 38 years of experience in the tyre industry, including a previous role as Managing Director of CEAT from 2001 to 2012.

CEAT has appointed Apurva Chandra as Additional Director in the capacity of Non-Executive, Independent Director for a consecutive period of five years.

The company has also appointed Paras K. Chowdhary as Additional Director in the capacity of Non-Executive Non-Independent Director.

Apurva Chandra is a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1988 Maharashtra cadre and has over 36 years of experience in public administration, policy formulation and industrial development.

Chandra has served as Secretary in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and Ministry of Labour & Employment.

He was also Director General (Acquisition) in the Ministry of Defence, Principal Secretary (Industries) in the Government of Maharashtra and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

He has also served on reputed international bodies like International Labour Organisation.

Paras Chowdhary has over 38 years of experience in senior management positions in the tyre industry, including his position as Managing Director of the Company for more than 11 years between 2001 and 2012.

His erstwhile stint was with Apollo Tyres Limited where he served as President and Wholetime Director.
