A. S. Lakshminarayanan has retired as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Communications with effect from 13 April 2026, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Lakshminarayanan has nearly four decades of experience in a wide range of leadership roles across different industries and regions around the world.

At TCS, Lakshminarayanan managed and developed scalable businesses. His roles in the company included President and CEO of TCS Japan, Global Head of Telecom, Media & Information Services, HiTech and Utilities, and Head of TCS UK & Europe

The Board of Tata Communications appointed Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as Managing Director and CEO-designate in January 2026. He brings more than 30 years of international management experience.
