The Trade Desk has named Anders Mortensen as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), effective November 4. He replaces Jed Dederick, who is stepping down after more than 13 years in the role. Dederick will remain with the company until the end of the year to support Mortensen and ensure a smooth transition.

In his new position, Mortensen will lead global revenue operations and report directly to Jeff Green, CEO and Co-Founder of The Trade Desk.

Mortensen brings 25 years of global leadership and digital advertising experience, with a strong focus on building and scaling commercial teams. He most recently served as Managing Director (and newly promoted VP) at Google.

During his decade at Google, he held several senior positions, including leading the U.S. Agency and Channel Partner businesses and helping grow the Google Marketing Platform across the Americas Mid-Market. Before Google, he worked as General Manager at Fujitsu.

Jeff Green said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Anders as our new CRO. His work at Google drove major growth for advertisers and agencies. Anders brings the structure, discipline, and strategic approach we need as we scale our business and strengthen our role in the open internet. I’m confident he will help take The Trade Desk to new heights.”

Sharing his excitement, Mortensen added, “The Trade Desk is the clear independent leader shaping the future of the open internet. I’m looking forward to helping accelerate the company’s next phase of growth, especially in high-ROI areas like Connected TV and Retail Media. My focus will be on ensuring our global commercial strategy fully leverages innovations such as Kokai, Koa AI, Unified ID 2.0, and OpenPath to deliver strong performance and measurable results for every client worldwide.”
