  • Meta has appointed Aman Jain as the new Head of Public Policy for India, effective early next year.

Meta has named Aman Jain as its new Head of Public Policy for India. In this role, he will lead the company’s policy direction and external engagement efforts in the country. He is set to join early next year and will report to Simon Milner, Vice President of Policy, APAC. Jain will also be part of Meta’s India leadership team.
 
Aman brings over two decades of experience in public policy and business strategy, having worked across organisations such as Amazon, Google, the Government of India and international institutions. During his time at Google India, he held senior positions, including Country Head for Government Affairs and Public Policy.
 
Most recently, Aman served as Director of Public Policy at Amazon, where he led policy initiatives across the marketplace, operations, competition and technology areas.
 
Commenting on the appointment, Simon Milner said that India is a critical market for Meta, especially as the country’s digital economy continues to grow across AI, emerging technologies and the creator ecosystem. He added that Aman’s strong background in public policy and technology will help Meta engage more effectively with regulators and industry stakeholders, and that he will be a valuable addition to Meta’s APAC policy leadership team.
