Trai has started talks with members of the broadcasting sector with regards to the overhaul planned in the regulatory framework, media networks have reported.
In January, TRAI released a comprehensive set of recommendations aimed at creating a robust regulatory framework for ground-based broadcasters.

TRAI’s is trying to align India’s broadcasting sector with global best practices, making it more consumer-centric. The regulatory body has said it aims to address the diverse needs of Indian viewers, ensuring they only pay for the content they want to consume.
