Sun TV Network has witnessed a decline in its total revenue, reporting an 8.6% drop in the third quarter of FY25, ending December 31, 2024. The company's income fell from ₹1,058.6 crore in Q3 FY24 to ₹967.5 crore in Q3 FY25. Profit after tax also saw a significant 20% decline, dropping from ₹454 crore in Q3 FY24 to ₹363 crore in Q3 FY25.

Advertising revenue fell by 6.5% year-on-year, declining from ₹355.4 crore in Q3 FY24 to ₹332 crore in Q3 FY25. However, subscription revenue saw a marginal rise of 2%, reaching ₹434.5 crore in Q3 FY25 compared to the same quarter last fiscal.

The company's profit before tax stood at ₹454.61 crore for the quarter, down from ₹591.31 crore in Q3 FY24. Meanwhile, EBITDA for Q3 FY25 was ₹432.13 crore.

Sun TV Network, which operates satellite television channels across multiple regional languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla, Marathi, and Hindi, as well as FM radio stations and digital platforms, faced a tougher quarter compared to the previous one. The overall decline in revenue and profit highlights the challenging market conditions, with advertising revenue under pressure despite a steady subscription business.
