TV 18 has announced the appointment of Sanjay Pugalia, as Editor for its Hindi programming initiatives. Says Haresh Chawla, CEO, CNBC-TV18: “We are pleased to announce Sanjay Pugalia’s appointment as Editor of our Hindi programming initiatives. Sanjay has a pulse on the real issues that matter to the masses in the language that appeals to this growing audience. CNBC-TV18’s Hindi programming has received tremendous response from our audience, and this will be further reinforced under his leadership. He brings with him a great deal of expertise in business and political reportage. We are sure that he will be an invaluable asset to our channel.”
Pugalia’s vast repertoire of experience in the broadcast industry will give a major thrust to TV18 as it sets to launch new initiatives in Hindi business programming. Pugalia, it must be noted, has experience in print, radio as well as television journalism. Over his 22 years’ stint in journalism, he has worked with Navbharat Times, Business Standard, BBC Radio and Aaj Tak. He has served as the News Director of Star News in his last assignment, before which he was the Executive Editor of Zee News. Pugalia’s experience spans over both business and political reporting.
On his appointment, Pugalia adds, “ CNBC-TV 18 is doing exceptionally well and I am very excited about the fact that I am joining them.
