Popular news anchor and senior television journalist Padmaja Joshi is set to join NDTV, following her recent exit from TV9 Network. Highly placed sources have confirmed the development to exchange4media.
Joshi, known for her incisive anchoring style and authoritative presence on prime-time television, had joined TV9 Network in 2023 as Senior Executive Editor. In that role, she played a key part in shaping both TV9 and News9's editorial strategies and content direction. Her tenure was marked by sharp, issue-led programming and high-impact political coverage.
Prior to her stint at TV9, Joshi was associated with Times Now, where she served as Senior Executive Editor and became one of the most recognisable faces on the channel.
Fluent in both Hindi and English, she has seamlessly anchored across languages and formats, balancing newsroom leadership with on-screen command.
