Mob attacks NDTV crew in Dadri

In a recent incident, NDTV’s car was attacked by a mob of women in Uttar Pradesh’s Dadri on Saturday. The NDTV crew was covering a visit by Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal. According to the media reports, a cameraperson was injured in the attack and his equipment was damaged.
A similar incident happened in Lucknow earlier this year. The crew was visiting Dadri to with respect to the incident of the killing of a man by a mob allegedly over rumours that he had eaten beef.
The Delhi CM was going to Dadri to meet victim’s family. NTDV’s Tanima Biswas reported that their car was attacked soon they crossed a police check post while following the CM’s convoy. The mob forced open the front door of the car and hit the cameraperson. Media reports suggested stones were then pelted on the car resulting in a window getting smashed.
"The police did not come forward to help us even when they saw the women hitting our car," Tanima Biswas said.
Earlier in the morning, locals prevented media from entering the village in Dadri.
