Colors continues to dominate urban market, Zee TV leads rural and overall market: BARC
Colors' Naagin 3 continued to lead the top five programmes, Dance Deewane exits the top five programme list in week 28
Zee Anmol continues to dominate the overall market but saw a dip in ratings in week 28 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India ratings. The channel registered 651 million impressions against 698 million impressions in week 27. Zee TV too witnessed a drop but maintained its second position with 577 million impressions as against 614 million impressions in the previous week followed by Sony Pal on the third spot with 551 million impressions.
Colors’ Naagin -3 led the top five programme list with 13.9 million impressions followed by Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya on the second slot with 11.6 million impressions and Kumkum Bhagya bagged the third spot with 11.1 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya stood on number four with 10.7 million impressions and Ishq Subhan Allah on Zee TV bagged the fifth position with 9.8 million impressions.
Hindi GEC Urban
Colors led the urban GEC market in week 28 with 374 million impressions followed by Zee TV on the second slot with 345 million impressions and Star Plus on the third spot with 342 million impressions. Sab TV and Sony Entertainment Television grabbed the fourth and fifth spots with 300 and 298 million impressions respectively.
Naagin 3 on Colors continued to the leader in top five programmes in the urban market. The show garnered 9.2 million impressions followed by Sab TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma on the second slot with 7.2 million impressions. Zee TV’s three shows Kundali Bhagya, Kumkum Bhagya, and Ishq Subhan Allah bagged third, fourth and fifth spot with 7.0, 6.7 and 6.2 million impressions respectively.
Hindi GEC Rural
Zee Anmol continued to lead the rural market with 503 million impressions followed by Sony Pal on the second slot with 377 million impressions and Star Utsav was on the third spot with 346 million impressions. Rishtey and Star Bharat stood on the fourth and fifth slots with 306 million impressions and 285 million impressions respectively.
Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya bagged the first spot with 8.5 million impressions, followed by Mahek on number two on the same channel with 6.2 million impressions. Sony Pal’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma stood at number three with 6.1 million impressions and Colors’ Naagin 3 was on the fourth spot with 4.65 million impressions. Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya stood at number five with 4.62 million impressions.
