After Mumbai and Delhi, it is now Radio Mirchi Chennai’s turn to celebrate five years of operations. Apart from the usual celebrations, the FM station has embarked on a 10-day fund raising campaign from May 5 in association with Times Foundation.
As part of the fund raising campaign, Radio Mirchi RJs would visit prominent locations in Chennai and encourage college students to actively take part in the campaign. The station is also exhorting popular actors, corporates and government officials to donate for a noble cause. Listeners, too, can make their contributions to the Mirchi RJs visiting various places or by dropping in their contribution in a collection box placed at the Mirchi office.
The station will donate the proceeds to Mahesh Memorial Trust, which would utilise the money to create a recreation room for children at The Cancer Institute.
Commenting on the initiative, Sandeep Sud, VP & Cluster Head, Radio Mirchi Chennai, said, “It has been a memorable journey in the last five years and we would like to celebrate the occasion in high spirits and make it special by giving something back to Chennai. Moving forward, we will endeavour to provide our listeners with a musical retreat by continuously introducing new innovations in programming and content.”For more updates, be socially connected with us on
