The Financial Express is on the threshold of launching an edition from Hyderabad. Chief Editor, Dr Sanjaya Baru, told exchange4media.com, "We are ready to roll. It's just that we have to work out a suitable date for the launch."
The date would hinge on the availability of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, for the inaugural ceremony. "It could even be before the elections," Baru said.
FE has initially planned to launch the edition in mid-January during Sankranti. "But we couldn't get the production processes in place then," he said.
Baru added that FE would also be launching an edition from Ahmedabad soon. With that FE would have nine editions across the country and thereby cement its place at number two among business dailies published in India, both in circulation and readership terms.
