Dinakaran promotes B Rajesh Kannan as CGM - Marketing
In his new role, Kannan will be handling the all India market for Dinakaran, Tamil Murasu, the magazine division of Kal Publications and online
Dinakaran, the Tamil daily from Sun Group, has promoted B Rajesh Kannan as Chief General Manager - Marketing. Kannan had joined Dinakaran in late 2007 as Chief Manager - Marketing. In his new role, Kannan will be reporting to RMR Ramesh, MD, Dinakaran.
Previously Kannan was handling some of the verticals at Dinakaran. In his new role, he has been given the responsibility of spearheading the market and handling the all India market for Dinakaran, Tamil Murasu, the magazine division of Kal Publications and online. Kannan takes over from Vijay Bobby, who had recently quit the daily as Chief General Manager – Marketing.
In conversation with exchange4media, Kannan said, “I am happy to have been promoted to the next level. I am sure that with more and more years, I will be able to contribute my best and take the company to the next level. Hope this year brings more success.”
Prior to Dinakaran, Kannan had worked with Daily Thanthi as Senior Manager. He had also worked with Mediascope Publicitas for a year. He started his career with The New Indian Express as an executive and has an experience of 17 years in the media industry.
At present, Dinakaran is being published from 12 centres in India.
