Rajinder Nath, a theatre stalwart and senior member of The Press Club of India, has passed away. The Press Club of India expressed deep sorrow over the demise of senior member and veteran theatre personality Rajinder Nath, who passed away earlier this week.

The news of his death was shared by The Press Club of India on X.

A towering figure in Indian theatre, Nath was widely respected for his significant contributions to the performing arts and his enduring impact.

A recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, Nath served as the director of the Shri Ram Centre for Art and Culture at Mandi House, Delhi, for several years.

His work was known for its bold experimentation and commitment to socially relevant themes. Colleagues and admirers have described him as a visionary who nurtured countless young talents and left an indelible mark on Indian theatre.

The cremation will be held today, July 24, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the Lodhi Crematorium in Delhi. As tributes continue to pour in from across the country, the Press Club extended heartfelt condolences, offering prayers and support to Nath’s family and friends in this difficult time.
