Prithvi Handa, Category Marketing Head – Teacher’s & Malt Scotch Whisky Portfolio at Beam Suntory, has won the CMO Innovation Award at the Laqshya Pitch Best CMO Awards 2026 on Thursday.

The CMO Innovation Award recognises marketers who demonstrate the ability to create an innovative environment that delivers breakthrough marketing and game-changing outcomes, whether in ROI, customer engagement or industry impact.

Handa is known for building premium brands through insight-led strategy and cultural relevance. At Suntory Global Spirits, he has focused on driving digital transformation and strengthening brand engagement through data-driven ecosystems and impactful collaborations.

Outside work, his appreciation for culture, music and travel informs his perspective, bringing curiosity and balance to both life and leadership.

Accepting the honour, Handa said, “I’m very, very humbled today. I’m not even a CMO right now. I am a category head and to be amongst such an illustrious set of leaders is a bit overwhelming.”

Adding a light note, he said, “I was getting jittery whether my name would even come up after so many CMOs. But my brother told me that you market alcohol and that comes at the very end of an event, so don’t get impatient.”
