Polycab India sharply ramped up its advertising and promotional spends in the third quarter of FY26, coinciding with a strong rebound in revenue and profitability and signalling an aggressive brand push amid buoyant demand.
The company’s ad spends rose to Rs 91.02 crore in Q3 FY26, more than doubling from Rs 37.23 crore in the same quarter last year, marking a year-on-year increase of over 144 percent. The spike in marketing outlay came alongside a strong topline performance during the festive-heavy quarter.
For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, Polycab reported revenue from operations of Rs 7,636.13 crore, up 49.5 percent from Rs 5,106.29 crore in Q3 FY25. On a sequential basis, revenue rose 46.1 percent from Rs 5,226.06 crore in the September quarter.
Total income for the quarter stood at Rs 7,686.58 crore, compared with Rs 5,251.07 crore in Q2 FY26 and Rs 5,146.60 crore in the year-ago period, translating into a 46.4 percent quarter-on-quarter growth and a 49.3 percent year-on-year increase.
Profitability also strengthened despite higher advertising and operating costs. Profit before tax rose to Rs 842.20 crore in Q3 FY26, up 38.1 percent from Rs 609.57 crore in the corresponding quarter last year and 36.6 percent higher than Rs 616.57 crore in Q2 FY26.
Net profit for the quarter came in at Rs 630.17 crore, registering a 41.3 percent year-on-year growth over Rs 446.00 crore in Q3 FY25. Sequentially, net profit increased 35.7 percent from Rs 464.35 crore in the previous quarter.
The sharp increase in advertising expenditure points to Polycab’s renewed focus on brand visibility and demand capture during the peak festive season, even as higher scale and operating leverage helped the company absorb elevated marketing spends without denting margins.
