Coca-Cola India cuts advertising spend by 14% in FY25

The company’s consolidated revenue rose nearly 7% to Rs 5,042 crore in FY25, up from Rs 4,713 crore in FY24

Coca-Cola India reported a sharp rise in profitability for the financial year ended March 2025, with net profit increasing 46% year-on-year, supported by moderate revenue growth and slower expense growth.

The company’s consolidated revenue rose 6.98% to Rs 5,042.6 crore in FY25, up from Rs 4,713.4 crore in FY24.

Total expenses increased 2.8% to Rs 4,328.4 crore from Rs 4,210.1 crore the previous year, contributing to an improvement in operating performance.

Operating profit grew 38.4% year-on-year to Rs 817.9 crore, compared with Rs 591.0 crore in FY24, while the operating margin improved to 16.2% from 12.5% a year earlier.

The cost of goods sold rose 22.1% to Rs 1,126.1 crore, and employee costs increased 11.0% to Rs 576.6 crore. Other costs declined 5.9% to Rs 2,521.9 crore, down from Rs 2,680.7 crore.

Advertising and promotional expenses for the beverage manufacturer declined 13.8 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,311.13 crore in FY25, compared with Rs 1,520.22 crore in FY24.

Profit before tax stood at Rs 843.1 crore, up 42.5% from Rs 591.7 crore in FY24, while the tax expense rose to Rs 228.1 crore from Rs 171.4 crore.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 615.0 crore, compared with Rs 420.3 crore in the previous fiscal year.
