Anupriya Acharya’s remarkable and inspiring journey has earned her a well-deserved nomination for the e4m Influencer of the Year award 2023. Acharya, Chief Executive Officer at Publicis Groupe, South Asia, is known for her insightful perspectives and engaging presence in the advertising and marketing industry. Anupriya has established herself as a powerful voice in the industry. Her work spans across various genres, connecting with diverse audiences. This nomination is a recognition of her relentless passion, creativity, and influence in shaping conversations online.
In her current role, Anupriya oversees all Publicis Groupe’s agencies in the South Asia region across creative, media, PR, digital and tech including agencies like Leo Burnett, L&K Saatchi and Saatchi, BBH, Starcom, Zenith, MSL, Performics, Digitas.
She is a media and advertising professional with over 25 years of rich experience in the advertising and marketing sphere. She joined Publicis Groupe in 2013 as Group CEO of Zenith Optimedia and then went on to lead Publicis Media India from 2016. Prior to Publicis, she has held senior leadership positions with WPP in India and Aegis Media Singapore.
Anupriya is actively involved in the industry and is the President of the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) – the apex trade body for advertising agencies. She was re-elected as the President for AAAI in September 2021. She is also on the Board of BARC and DB Corp.
Recently, Anupriya Acharya had topped IMPACT’s 50 Most Influential Women in Media, Marketing and Advertising List, 2023 for commanding excellence in media and advertising for nearly three decades.
Anupriya holds a postgraduate degree in Chemistry from IIT – Roorkee. Her journey to this nomination is a testament to her hard work and authenticity. Being a contender for the prestigious e4m Influencer of the Year 2023 title underscores her influence and the significant impact she continues to make in the media industry.
