  • The Northeast Influencer Yatra, presented by Oriflame and supported by Meghalaya Tourism, aims to empower local creators by providing them with greater visibility and opportunities within the creator economy over a 34-day, 5,000-kilometer journey across the region.
  • The initiative focuses on meeting creators in their own cities, understanding their stories, and fostering sustainable growth rather than discovering hidden talent, as these creators have already established their influence and audiences.
  • A key component of the yatra is the #WhosthatNEStar talent hunt, which evaluates participants based on originality and audience connection, rather than follower count, allowing emerging creators to gain recognition.
  • The event will conclude on May 10 in Kolkata with the Northeast Regional Awards, celebrating creators across more than 20 categories, highlighting the region's long-overdue recognition in the creator economy.

The Northeast has never lacked talent. What it has often lacked is a stage large enough to match it. Across cities, campuses and small towns, creators from the region have been building loyal communities, telling local stories and shaping online culture in ways that are distinctly their own. The access, visibility and brand partnerships that come more readily to creators in metros have been slower to arrive here.

Oriflame Presents Whosthat360 Northeast Influencer Yatra is a direct response to that gap. With Meghalaya Tourism as an associate partner, the yatra spans 34 days and 5,000 kilometres across the Northeast. It is designed to meet creators in their own cities, understand their journeys and build pathways for sustainable growth within the creator economy.

Commenting on the Northeast Yatra, Vaibhav Sehgal, CEO of Red Pixels Ventures Limited, said, "At Whosthat360, we believe stories are strongest when they come from real people and real places. The Northeast Yatra is not just another IP, it's a movement to empower individuals, highlight untapped talent, and open doors to new income opportunities. Partnering with Oriflame allows us to combine creativity with purpose and bring this vision to life across multiple cities."

The yatra does not operate on the premise of discovering hidden talent. These creators were never hidden. Their work, their audiences and their cultural influence already existed. What the initiative sets out to provide is greater reach and wider recognition for what they have already built.

From Shillong to Agartala, the Whosthat360 team is meeting creators face to face, listening to their stories, and learning how they are building and sustaining audiences in this part of the country.

Woven into the yatra is #WhosthatNEStar, a talent hunt built to surface the next generation of creators from across the Northeast. The programme is open to anyone, regardless of follower count. Selection is based on originality, authenticity, and the ability to genuinely connect with an audience. For creators who are just starting out, that distinction matters. It means they are being evaluated on the strength of their work rather than the size of a number on their profile.

The yatra culminates on May 10 in Kolkata with the Northeast Regional Awards, celebrating creators across 20+ categories. It's the kind of recognition the region's creator economy has deserved for a long time. Whosthat360 has always believed that the creator economy is only as strong as the voices it includes. The Northeast Influencer Yatra 2026 is its biggest statement of that belief yet.
