As the excitement builds for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, JioStar has locked in four major sponsors, setting the stage for a power-packed season starting March 22.

In its first marquee event since the Reliance-Disney merger, the media giant has secured Campa, My11Circle, Amul and State Bank of India (SBI) as television and digital sponsors, sources have told exchange4media.

This season of IPL marks the first major event since the merger of Reliance and Disney, forming JioStar.

According to sources, female-centric targeting has become a critical focus for FMCG brands and last year, IPL attracted 200 million female viewers on television alone, a number expected to rise this season.

According to Ishan Chatterjee, Chief Business Officer, Sports Revenue, SMB & Creator at JioStar, key advertising categories for IPL 2025 include beverages—benefiting from the early summer—along with air conditioners, fans, paints, BFSI, fintech, mobile phone handsets, and fantasy gaming.

Recognizing IPL’s dominance in India’s advertising landscape, brands are increasingly structuring their marketing strategies around the tournament, he said.

Recently, in a strategic move ahead of IPL 2025, JioHotstar joined forces with global data analytics and audience measurement leader, Nielsen, to enhance digital ad measurement.

This collaboration aims to introduce an independent, third-party-validated system that will provide advertisers with granular insights into their campaigns, ensuring higher accuracy and accountability.
