Zurich Kotak General Insurance appoints Birendra Mohanty as CBO

Zurich Kotak General Insurance Company (India) Limited today announced the appointment of Birendra Mohanty as its Chief Business Officer (CBO). In his new role, Birendra will oversee Bancassurance (including Banca Digital), Financial Institutions Group (FIG), SME, Institutional & Government Business, stated a press release.

Welcoming him to the leadership team, Alok Agarwal, MD & CEO of Zurich Kotak General Insurance, said, “Birendra’s experience in scaling and leading innovation in sales is a suitable fit for our leadership team. His ability to strengthen distribution ecosystems will enable us to penetrate the market more deeply through digital and institutional channels. Birendra is an expert insurance professional with over two decades of experience in Agency and Broking, SME, and Bancassurance. He has sharpened his skills through long tenures in various roles at ICICI Lombard GIC, where his leadership in expanding sales channels and driving customer-focused solutions was widely recognized.
