TimesDeal.com, the group buying portal of Times Internet, introduced a unique shopping campaign for the consumers visiting their website during Christmas and New Year.
As soon as one opened the TimesDeal website, a Santa Claus appeared on the screen and dropped gifts from his goodie bag. “Find the gifts and win a grand prize,” the Santa announced and vanished from the screen. The user could then find the gifts and stood a chance to win prizes from the TimesDeal team.
The idea was conceptualised by the in-house creative agency of the Times Group. TimesDeal claims to have seen over 1,000 fresh registrations in less than 24 hours.
Commenting on this festive season campaign, Ninad Takpere, Business Head, Times Deal said, “This is to satisfy our customers and to add a little fun element to shopping. The primary focus of TimesDeal has always been to offer users high value-for-money deals. There has been overwhelming response to this so far.”
Times Internet pushed its marketing efforts to social media too. Titled ‘TD Grant My Wish’ (#TDGrantmywish), the campaign let users choose their favourite deal from an array of deals featured on the website. The surprise element was that the users were gifted with the deal that they wished for.
