Tara Kapur has been elevated to Head of Marketing - Duolingo English Test. She shared the news of her new role through a LinkedIn post.
“After three years of building the Duolingo English Test (DET) in India at Duolingo, I’m excited to step into a global role as Director of Marketing, DET. It’s been a privilege to help shape a brand that challenges what traditional testing looks like and, more importantly, opens doors for students around the world”, she stated in her LinkedIn post.
Prior to her elevation, she held the role of India Market Lead, Duolingo English Test.
Tara Kapur is a seasoned marketer with extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry. She has worked for companies including Netflix, Vice Media, and currently at Duolingo.
Tara began her career in journalism, working for leading media organizations in India such as The Times Group, ET NOW, and Bloomberg TV. After several years in the industry, she transitioned to marketing, bringing her storytelling skills and expertise to the field.
