NDTV 24x7 strengthens prime-time news line-ip with new shows and anchors

The channel has also announced the addition of journalist Shiv Aroor to its editorial team

NDTV 24x7 has expanded its prime-time programming to offer a structured and consistent news slate between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, aimed at delivering issue-based journalism and structured analysis. The refreshed schedule has shown steady viewership growth, according to the network.

The evening programming begins at 7:00 PM with The Southern View, hosted by Veeraraghav, focusing on political and economic developments from South India and their relevance to national affairs. At 7:30 PM, Newsbreak with Vasudha Venugopal provides an overview of the day’s headlines and top developments.

At 8:30 PM, The Last Word anchored by Marya Shakil features political coverage and reports from the field. The 9:00 PM slot is occupied by Left, Right & Centre, anchored by Vishnu Som, designed as a debate and discussion platform. At 10:00 PM, News Night with Deepti Sachdeva offers a summary of the day with additional news context.

The channel has also announced the addition of journalist Shiv Aroor to its editorial team. Aroor, who previously worked at India Today, is expected to contribute across NDTV 24x7’s programming and special reports.

Sanjay Pugalia, Director and Editor-in-Chief of NDTV, said the prime-time schedule reflects the channel’s efforts to deliver news coverage aligned with viewer interest. He added that the increase in viewership during these time slots indicates positive traction for the programming approach.
