IP-focussed business venture, Event Capital, launched

Event Capital, a specialised intellectual property events centric business venture, was launched in Mumbai recently.

The event marked the coming together of Deepak Choudhary, Founder, EMDI Institute of Event Management & Eventfaqs Media, along with Alok Jalan, MD, Laqshya Media.

According to a recent Ernst & Young report on intellectual property events, “The industry has grown by 20 per cent during the past couple of years and is expected to grow by another 50 per cent by 2014.”

The services offered by Event Capital include creation and support of event IPs via research, funding, planning, marketing & sales expertise present within the team. Event Capital is supported by Senior Vice President Pankaj Khanna, who comes with 13 years of experience in sales and handling new media business with organisations such as Indian Express, Hindustan Times, NDTV and UTV News, among others.

Vikram Shankar, the Vice-President of Event Capital, brings with him 19 years of varied experience in the entertainment industry. He has been a part of creating and producing television shows, music albums and digital content across the globe.
