FanCode has entered into a strategic partnership with CAMB.AI. The collaboration will enable seamless access to multilingual commentary using Artificial Intelligence for sports fans. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the IBC Convention 2025.
Through this collaboration, CAMB.AI will help FanCode broadcast live matches in multiple Indian languages, with multiple commentators (both male and female), natural crowd roars, background action noise, real-time advertisements, and a level of prosody and excitement indistinguishable from human commentary. The product and technology teams in both companies will also work together to build custom AI-solutions that meaningfully enhance the consumption experience for sports fans, according to a press release.
FanCode co-founder Yannick Colaco said, "As a leading sports-tech platform, we take great pride in constantly innovating to enhance how fans experience sport. We are delighted to work with like-minded partners in CAMB.AI and use AI to revolutionise sports broadcasting in India. With India’s incredible linguistic diversity, it’s exciting to see fans now follow the action in the language of their choice. Our teams will continue working together to build more such AI-led solutions that brings fans closer to the game.”
CAMB.AI Quote, Co-founder, CTO Akshat Prakash said “Sports are universal, but language has always been a barrier to scale. With FanCode, we are proving that AI can deliver real-time multilingual commentary at broadcast-grade quality, making every ball of a cricket match accessible and engaging to all fans. This partnership is validation of our growth strategy in India’s sports ecosystem.”
Earlier this week, CAMB.AI also announced a strategic collaboration with The India Today Group (ITG). Through this strategic partnership, CAMB.AI, which is building the world’s premier content localization infrastructure driven by AI-powered multilingual translation, along with ITG's collaboration will become the first news media partnership of its kind globally.
The two organizations will also collaborate in co-building cutting-edge language solutions for the conglomerate. This will allow ITG to expand its reach to both Hindi and regional language audiences in India, as well as for non-resident Indians across the globe, enabling trusted journalism and accessibility.
“The enhanced capability adds inclusivity to credibility by making trusted journalism accessible to a more diverse audience. By leveraging AI to overcome language barriers in news production, we’re dedicated to ensuring that quality information reaches everyone, contributing to a more informed and connected world,” said Samkhya Edamaruku, Group Managing Editor – Production, India Today Group.
Added CAMB.AI Co-founder and CTO Akshat Prakash, “For 50 years, India Today has leaned into innovation and creativity, and we are honored to have them as our first live news translation partner. This serves as a validation of our growth plans in India and Southeast Asia overall, and we are already collaborating with the ITG team on additional ways to expand their reach.”
