Colors Infinity launches home grown English music show The Stage
The channel has roped in Vishal Dadlani, Monica Dogra, Ehsaan Noorani and Devraj Sanyal as judges. The show will begin airing on October 10
The newly launched English entertainment channel Colors Infinity, will launch their home grown English language music TV show - The Stage in October.
This quest for India’s English music talent, premiering on October 10, has roped in a combination of music maestros from eclectic genres: Vishal Dadlani, Monica Dogra, Ehsaan Noorani, Devraj Sanyal, as the jury panel and Shibani Dandekar as the host for the show.
Ferzad Palia, EVP, Viacom18 and Head, English Entertainment said, “Since the inception of Colors Infinity, we have aimed at nothing but disruptive content. After the new line-up and ‘Instant Premieres’, we now up the ante even further with the launch of our first home grown English language singing show, The Stage.”
He further commented on the concept, “We are immensely proud to introduce this concept on Indian television. There are numerous gifted English music artists in this country. Unfortunately they have never had the opportunity to showcase their talent, but now, with The Stage we are providing them with the platform where they can finally do that. ”
The show is being produced by SOL and partnered by Renault.

On the unique concept, the channel’s co-curator, Karan Johar opined, “When I first heard about The Stage I was amazed at the introduction of such a novel concept for Indian television. I can see a paradigm shift in the reality TV shows in India.”
