World-class development facility to help AMT company get first-mover advantage in Tamil Nadu

C1X, which has been in news over the last few months after its Series B raise, has appointed leadership teams across the region and is now committed to building world-class infrastructure in Chennai. The move, which comes on the back of Tamil Nadu’s IT Development initiatives, has the potential to create hundreds of jobs and attract the best of talent to its engineering and product development teams in Chennai.

The new facility is a state-of-the-art centre with absolute new-age amenities that would make the potential employees and talent scouted by the company nationwide feel empowered to build world-class adtech solutions.

“We are committed to addressing global market needs from our facility in Chennai. This facility is in line with our global strategy and expansion plans across markets. Being a leading AMT company worldwide, we wanted to get the first-mover advantage in Tamil Nadu and continue to march ahead with our product development activities for the various initiatives we have embarked on,” said Mukundu Kumaran, Co-Founder & CEO, C1X.

“To this effect, we have hired some of the best talent on leadership positions worldwide. In fact, more heads are slated to join in January, for which we will make appropriate announcements. Now that business growth in 2017 seems ominous, it is important to support teams with adequate product development and engineering folk to address our global expansion programme that Dan, Ram and I are spearheading,” Kumaran added.

For the uninitiated, AMT stands for ‘Advertising and Marketing Technology’ and given that the Exchange is a full stack solution across DSP, SSP, DMP, E-commerce and Ad server, the company is pioneering the effort to address some of the future technology requirements of brands and publishers.

Asked why AMT, Kumaran said, “It is difficult to differentiate between various programmatic solutions available in the market. Therefore, when during a brainstorming session, a new hire prompted this coined word, we were convinced that we would lead the charge on this new stack that does not exist with any other player. We aim to clearly position ourselves as industry leaders in this category given that we invented this one stack offering across categories through our data sciences and technology capability. Our effort is to spearhead the market with a truly unified AMT platform that streamlines all the way from guaranteed premium media buys to marketing within large E-commerce platforms. As for the rest, we will let the product do the talking.”

AMT is set to drive the change through its transparent, ease of use and audience discovery platform, which is agnostic in nature and works seamlessly across both desktops and mobile phones.

Chennai is now on the world map for adtech initiatives and C1X is leading that charge.
