This Diwali, Flipkart is inviting shoppers to embrace what they eagerly wish to do: get rid of the old and welcome the new. Understanding that many people wait for an auspicious occasion to make significant purchases, the brand has launched an exciting campaign that encourages customers to take advantage of its Big Diwali sale.

Conceptualised by FCB Kinnect, the task was to quickly set up the need for the Big Diwali Sale, right after Big Billion Days. The idea, simply articulated with the line ‘Purana Hatao’ humorously misdirects the audience and effectively conveys the campaign’s message.

Neville Shah, CCO, FCB Kinnect & FCB/SIX India, said, “We were tasked to follow the biggest sale season of the year. And we needed it to be funny we needed to make sure we rooted in culture and behaviour. The idea really came from the simplest of Diwali insights. Renewing things.”

Rohan Mehta, CEO, FCB Kinnect & FCB/SIX India, added, “Another standout campaign from FCB Kinnect, that demonstrates our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional work. Just as Flipkart has entrusted us with the creative communication for their major IPs, we remain dedicated to producing impactful work that not only entertains but also elevates brand building.”
