The Hindu has removed an article from its digital platform that earlier claimed three Indian fighter jets had crashed in Kashmir.
The article, which was published on the outlet's website, briefly detailed an unverified report suggesting the crash of Indian Air Force jets in the Kashmir region. Within a short span of time, however, the story was taken down. Attempts to access the original report now lead to a standard error message indicating the page no longer exists.
The article’s removal follows heightened sensitivity around reporting related to national security and defence matters, where accuracy and verification are critically emphasized by both media houses and public authorities.
While the report was live, it drew attention from several users online, some of whom raised concerns over the source and verification of the claims made.
