Praveen Sharma who joined the leadership team at Google India in 2010 has stepped down as  Regional Director - Performance Marketing Solutions, APAC at Google. Highly placed sources confirmed this development to exchange4media.

Lately, Google has seen a series of top exits. It started with Karim Temsamani, the former president of Asia-Pacific for Google, who quit the tech giant in December 2018. This was followed by the exit of Rajan Anandan in April 2019 who led Google's operations in India and South-East Asia. He stepped down and joined the US venture capital firm Sequoia Capital. Now Sharma’s move marks yet another high profile exit in recent months.

Sharma’s association with Google began in 2010 when he joined the tech giant as Head of YouTube and Display Sales, India. He later took over as Regional Director, Performance Marketing Solutions, Asia Pacific and was responsible for driving revenue of performance marketing solutions across APAC.

Prior to his stint at Google, Sharma was COO, Madison Media Plus from 2004 to 2010, he has also served stints at GroupM as Business Director and IPG as Media Director.
