MSN on Wednesday launched a new MSN Search in India, the first-ever search engine built by Microsoft. MSN Search will help consumers search more quickly and get precise answers. The service will now be available in 25 markets and 10 languages. A collection of tools gives people greater control in targeting and refining searches to get instant, accurate answers to specific questions.
“We’re committed to continuous improvement in the speed, precision and ease of use of our search service,” said Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of the MSN Information Services and Merchant Platform division at Microsoft. “This built-from-the-ground-up version of MSN Search provides an infrastructure that enables us to rapidly innovate and give consumers precisely the information they’re looking for, no matter where it’s located,” he added.
“The new MSN Search service is more precise and powerful and allows users to get responses to their questions in the shortest possible time, thereby making search simpler, faster and more organised.” said Krishna Prasad, Head of Programming, MSN India.
