Canon India launches digital campaign #ShiftYourFocus 2.0

The campaign aims to spread awareness on social issues through the medium of photography

On the occasion of World Photography Day, Canon India furthers its commitment to cultivate the passion and spread the knowledge of photography across the nation.

With an objective to nurture the imaging culture amongst users, the organization conducted a series of photography workshops across the country, aimed at getting closer to photography enthusiasts and help them hone their photography skills.

The organization also launched the second version of its award-winning digital campaign, #ShiftYourFocus. Through this campaign, Canon India continues its endeavour to support the community and the environment, by attempting to divert the attention of ‘millennials’ from the trending challenges on social media to real-life challenges, in and around us.

Sharing his thoughts, Kazutada Kobayashi, President & CEO, Canon India Pvt. Ltd, said, “At Canon India, we believe that photography is a beautiful form of art and can become a strong and powerful medium of expression, igniting conversations around important issues. Understanding the same, this World Photography Day, we are delighted to launch the next version of our much acclaimed digital campaign #ShiftYourFocus. Through the extended campaign, we aim to continue in our endeavor to support the larger community and the ecosystem we live in, thereby upholding our corporate philosophy of ‘Kyosei’. As people increasingly continue to express themselves through the art of photography, #ShiftYourFocus will strive to move the needle beyond and enable new conversations, amongst the audience to contribute towards the holistic development of the society.”

The digital campaign #ShiftYourFocus 2.0 comes at a time, when trending challenges are being celebrated on social media by ‘millennials’ on a topical basis, they gather huge traction and popularity amongst the ‘netizens’.

Through this campaign, Canon India endeavors to invite the digital audience, to take on the ‘Real Challenge’ that allows them to join a movement, thereby initiating a change that helps the community and environment. This campaign will run across all social media platforms of the organization, with the objective to support the required change, with the powerful tool of images.
