  • LinkedIn accounted for nearly two-thirds of all posts identified as AI-generated across various platforms.
  • The average AI content rate across all scanned social media items was 13.8%, with longer content more likely to be AI-generated.
  • Among the findings, one in four long-form posts (25.72% of items over 250 words) across all platforms were flagged as fully AI-generated, with nearly half of X/Twitter articles also containing AI writing.

LinkedIn has become a hub for AI-generated content, according to a new study by AI detection startup Pangram.

The study found that more than 40% of long-form posts on LinkedIn are entirely AI-generated, making the professional networking platform the most AI-saturated among major social media platforms.

LinkedIn alone accounted for nearly two-thirds of all posts identified as AI-generated in Pangram's analysis.

According to the Pangram report, AI-generated content appeared across all social media platforms. “The average AI rate across all scanned items was 13.8%, but specific rates varied by platform and item length. On four out of five platforms, longer content was more likely to be AI-generated than shortform content. Across all platforms, one in four longform items (25.72% of items over 250 words) were fully AI-generated.”

Among its key findings are:

  • One in four longform posts on social media flagged as fully AI-generated
  • Of all posts we flagged as AI-generated, two-thirds came from LinkedIn
  • Nearly half of X/Twitter articles contained AI writing.
