Globalisation has put various sports on the world map. With this has emerged the need for professional management of sporting events as well as sportspersons.
Today, the sports industry allows teams, leagues and partners to market and engage with fans in unique ways on the digital media. From email marketing to web traffic to social engagement – the sports industry is aggressively leveraging the digital space.
According to Neetu Bhatia, Chairperson and Co-founder, Kyazoonga, content will be the game changer. Bhatia is of the opinion that, “Sports content is considered to be premium anywhere across the global. People will pay for it if sports organisers create digital channels for sportscasting. These channels will not only be a supplementary stream, but also be a medium of very good revenue generation.”
