Shrenik Gandhi's de-stress mantra: Watching stand-up comedy shows & web series

Chillout: The CEO and Co- Founder of White Rivers Media is a foodie and loves long walks, unplanned vacations and music

Venkata Susmita Biswas 27-October-2018

shrenikGandhi

Shrenik Gandhi, CEO and Co- Founder, White Rivers Media, makes sure he goes completely ‘offline’ on weekends. Despite being addicted to his work, Gandhi believes in maintaining a work-life balance. Catching up on sleep, attending stand-up comedy shows and watching web series help him take a break from the stressful work life.

Read on to find out more about Gandhi and his weekend indulgences:

On a typical weekend you will find me...
Catching up on sleep and going totally offline! Being in the digital space, you often end up working in real time, which means late working nights and early working mornings. Due to which, both are rare during mad weekdays.

My idea of relaxing is...
Stand-up comedy and theatre are my go to. I love attending gigs and watching comedy shows/web series online. They help me zone out of the stressful work life, chill a little and get a different perspective to life.

One vice I cannot do without...
Junk food!! Can’t, just can’t, get away from it. Writing this while binging on a pack of chips.

I love a staycation/adventure...
A completely unplanned trip, with no planned destination or duration. I remember doing something like this on my last trip to Europe. We left Luzern without any agenda and returned at the end of the day with a plethora of memories and adventures. It was an amazing experience!

I confess, I am a...
Mad foodie.

I spend me-time on...
Long walks & music (music on, world off!)

The last show I binge watched...
Comicstaan on Amazon Prime

I can make a mean ... to save my life...
Maggi and a cuppa chai. I will survive, trust me :)

A skill/hobby I want to learn this year...
Playing drums. Been on my bucket list for quite a few years now.

My next vacation/adventure will be ...
As mentioned, unplanned and thrilling, somewhere in Europe.

Ashish

For Ashish Sahni, Director-Digital Marketing at Peugeot Motors Pvt Ltd, weekends are all about doing things differently and adding a twist to the daily routine. And so, sports, adventure activities and trip to new eateries are a must on his to-do list for weekends.

When it comes to ‘me-time’, Sahni does not believe in waiting for the weekend. He makes sure he wakes up early in the morning to spare some time just for himself every day. Sahni admits to being a fitness freak and says he never misses his workout sessions come what may.

Read on to find out more about Sahni and his idea of relaxation…

Having great pleasures with my family. We try to do new and different things on weekends. I hate living in a routine and weekends are all about changing our way of living. We play sports and explore new eating places. Since I stay near a beach, we go there in the morning for running. My children are fond of this way of living; the younger one, who is eight years old, often asks me, “when are we moving, I 'm fed up with this house...."  This is the danger of being too mobile!

My idea of relaxing is…

Relax. Refresh. Revive. I do it by watching National Geographic Channel.

Chocolate flavour ice-creams and beer.

I love a staycation/adventure…

Adventure. scuba diving, sea walking, balloon ride, dune bashing.

I confess, I am a…

Fitness freak. Come what may, I don’t miss my workouts.

I spend me time on…

I spare time for myself by waking up early at 5am. I go for either running at the beach or gym workouts.

The last show I binge watched…

Mirzapur. But I don't binge so often.

One day I wish to become…

An animal rights activist and stop animal cruelty worldwide.

A skill/ hobby I want to pursue this year…

Learn French and guitar.

My next vacation/adventure will be

Sydney. That’s where my best friend stays.
