Cannes Lions 2019: Indian agencies bag 21 shortlists in 5 categories

Indian agencies have secured 21 shortlists in five categories over the weekend. A total of eight entries from India were selected for Outdoor Lions, two for Design Lions, two for Film Crafts Lions, two for Health and Wellness Lions, and seven for Print & Publishing Lions.

 

Outdoor Lions

Two entries each of Dentsu Impact Gurgaon and McCann Mumbai and four from Wunderman Thompson Mumbai were selected in the category.

Dentsu Impact Gurgaon’s 'Complete' and 'Repaired' campaigns for Benson Polymers' Polyfix Instant Glue, McCann Mumbai’s 'Cure 1' and 'Cure 2’ campaigns for Mindopeners' Counselling for Depression, and Wunderman Thompson Mumbai’s 'Blink of Poster' 4-campaign series for Jimmy Nelson Foundation made it to the list. 

Design Lions

Two entries from TBWA\India Mumbai were shortlisted in this category. The agency’s ‘One Mindful Mind’ campaign for Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute was selected in the ‘Promotion Item design’ and ‘Books’ subheads.

 

Film Crafts Lions

Offroad Films Mumbai’s ‘Vicks-One in a Million #TouchOfCare’ campaign for Vicks Vaporub has been selected in the ‘Casting’ subhead, and Wunderman Thompson’s ‘Blink and they’re gone’ campaign for Jimmy Nelson Foundation was selected in ‘Editing’ subhead.

 

Health and Wellness Lions

In this category also, TBWA\India Mumbai’s ‘One Mindful Mind’ campaign for Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute was selected in the ‘Brand-led education and awareness’ and ‘Health services and facilities’ subheads.


Print and Publishing

Seven entries from India were selected in this category. McCANN Mumbai’s ‘Cure 1’ and ‘Cure 2’ campaign for Mindopeners’ Counselling for Depression were selected in the Healthcare subhead, DDB Mudra Mumbai’s ‘Young Man’, ‘Old Man’ and ‘Kid’ campaigns for Khalsa Aid were selected in the ‘Not for Profit’ subhead, and TBWA\India Mumbai ‘One Mindful Mind’ campaign for Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute was selected in the ‘Adapted Print’ and ‘Commercial Publications’ subhead.


Pharma Lions

No entry from India agencies was selected in this category.
