Travis Kalanick set to step down from Uber board

The former CEO and Co-founder of Uber has sold all his stock in the company, media reports have said

Former CEO and Co-founder of Uber Travis Kalanick will be stepping down from the company board, media reports have said. His resignation will be effective from December 31. 

A company spokersperson has been quoted as saying that Kalanick has sold all his stock in the company.

A statement said he will be focusing on his new business and philanthropic works.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in the release that he was “enormously grateful for Travis’ vision and tenacity while building Uber”.
