Schbang elevates Saumil Mehta and Isha Amin as Vice President

Amin and Mehta will be leading the Integrated Solutions team at Schbang and reporting to CEO & Co-Founder Akshay Gurnani

Integrated marketing agency Schbang has elevated Isha Amin and Saumil Mehta as Vice President of Integrated Solutions, a department which forms the core of the agency’s service offerings. Before the elevation, both Mehta and Amin were Senior Group Solutions Manager.

Coming from a research background, Mehta brings a very methodological and strategy-oriented approach to the table. During his time at Schbang, he has been part of teams for brands such as Castrol Power1, Ashok Leyland, Dr. Fixit, Nivea and Hamleys. He has also been an integral part of some award-winning work for brands such as Ashok Leyland, Goodknight and Finolex Pipes. Under his leadership, two marquee brands Finolex and Ashok Leyland went from being just digital brand mandates to mainline.

Sharing his thoughts on the elevation, Mehta said, “In the last four years at Schbang, I have been a part of its transformation from a 25 to 250+ member team. It has been our aim to bring an integrated approach to deliver impactful campaigns for our clients. Moving into this new role, it will be my endeavour to bring out our robust interdepartmental skill sets ranging from digital, mainline, tech, media to creative & production in our campaigns and continue creating a Schbang!”

Isha Amin has over eight years of experience in the digital domain. She has been part of teams for brands like BBLUNT India, Baskin Robbins, Beautiful Homes by Asian Paints and Godrej Properties to name a few. Isha has first-hand experience when it comes to planning, strategising, executing and leading a team of over 30 people. Her ability to groom the team and understand the brands right has led to some award-winning work for the launch of BBLUNT Salon Secret, MAC Cosmetics Launch in India and Fevikwik. She brings to the table a unique combination of creative and strategy.

Speaking on the promotion, Amin said, “I am very proud to have been a part of Schbang's journey so far and I'm excited to have been assigned the new role of Vice President. I see this as a great opportunity to do fruitful work that will deliver brand growth and nurture our work culture amongst the teams and future Schbangers to make them feel as much as a part of it as I do. I am looking forward to the next phase and helping the company grow to the heights I know it will get to. ”

Mehta and Amin, who are leading the solutions team as a whole, will be reporting to Akshay Gurnani, CEO & Co-Founder, Schbang. They will be working closely with the teams in order to bring the best out of them and meet the clients’ needs and the company’s objectives.

Speaking on the elevations, Gurnani shared, “Schbang is on the path to grow and with that, we are looking to strengthen and empower members from within our team itself to take the company forward. Isha and Saumil are two very different personalities with very individualistic approaches to their craft. We are expecting them to take the lead to mould new talent, contribute to more successful campaigns that add to the business while building the team and company culture with new perspectives in the work we undertake.”

Schbang started as an independent agency four years ago, providing integrated solutions to meet clients’ needs. From a small team of 15 members and 5 brands on board, it has now become a 250+ member team that caters to some of the Top 100 brands of India as clients.

With operations successfully running in Mumbai (headquarters) and Bangalore, Schbang is slowly heading towards expansion in Delhi and also internationally by 2020.
