Saraswathi Anand has joined Network 18 as Marketing Head for Languages Cluster.

Prior to this, Anand held the position of Head of Brand at Zee Kannada where she led the brand refresh of the channel. She was part of the team that ensured Zee Kannada spread its dominance in the non-fiction space to the fiction space as well.

Talking about her new role, Anand said, “I look forward to working with the diverse language channels and the challenges that they inherently bring. It is advantageous to be the only network with a pan-India presence as it has its own strengths. Having worked in regional space across all media platforms, I look forward to a great innings at Network18. Regional is surely the future growth drivers in the media space.”

Anand started her career in advertising with Enterprise Nexus, handling fashion brands such as Weekender and Scullers. She then moved to Worldspace and was part of the team that created a campaign with AR Rahman for the brand.

She has worked with Radio Mirchi Bengaluru as Head of Marketing. During her five-year stint, she worked on many campaigns and shows. Anand then moved on to Vijaya Karnataka, where she handled the re-designing of the newspaper and also worked with the editorial team.

Anand has graduated from T A Pai Management Institute.
