He noted that Srinivas brought an uncommon blend of calm confidence and sharp insight, qualities that helped him navigate a rapidly evolving industry.
“My relationship with CVL Srinivas goes back many years. I first knew Srini, or CVL as we fondly called him, during his JWT days in Bengaluru when I was posted there. I got to know him much better when he moved to Delhi to head the Madison office, handling marquee accounts like Coke and Maruti. Our paths crossed yet again in Mumbai when he joined Fulcrum Mindshare and I was at Star Tv now known as Disney Star”, he said in his LinkedIn post.
"There are many anecdotes I could share about our business dealings, but what I admired most was his candidness and professionalism. His journey has been nothing short of inspiring and I am sure he has helped build many careers along the way", he added.
“As Srini retires as Chairman of WPP India, I wish him and his wife Mona a fulfilling and happy life ahead as they pursue their other passions. Moving forward, some legacies are not measured by titles alone but by the quiet respect one earns over a lifetime. Srini’s is certainly one of them”, the LinkedIn post further read.
As Srinivas steps into retirement, Nayak said his legacy will continue to inspire the next generation of media leaders who have been influenced by his values and vision.
