Nivea picks Publicis Groupe as global advertising partner
WPP to be brand owner for Beiersdorf’s Eucerin and Hansaplast, say media reports
Nivea has chosen Publicis Groupe as its global advertising partner and named WPP as brand owner for Beiersdorf’s Eucerin and Hansaplast brands, as per media reports.
This comes following a group pitch. Media networks said Beiersdorf was working towards overhauling its marketing output and will rope in major holding groups to take care of its advertising needs.
Interpublic's FCB moved out of Nivea’s business some time back.
Publicis has roped in agency network team - One Touch - to handle advertising for Nivea’s skincare and deodorant brands from creative to digital.
Media reports quoted Asim Naseer, Nivea Chief Marketing Officer, as saying: "This decision marks an important milestone for our global brand building efforts, driving the transformation of our iconic Nivea brand…Publicis Groupe has demonstrated very strong skills in strategy development and in leading inspiring, persuasive creative ideas. We are convinced that we have found the right partner to jointly accelerate Nivea’s growth through consumer-centric marketing excellence."
