Manisha Kapoor, the CEO of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), is a key figure in ensuring ethical advertising practices in India. With a strong background in consumer insights and brand management, she has been instrumental in strengthening ASCI’s role as a self-regulatory body, promoting responsible advertising and protecting consumer interests.
Under her leadership, ASCI has embraced digital advancements, addressing emerging challenges in influencer marketing, AI-generated content, and misleading advertisements.
ASCI is a self-regulatory body that is committed to the cause of fairness and honesty in advertising. Kapoor has been with ASCI for over 10 years. Prior to that, she was the Vice President, Executive Committee at International Council for Advertising Self-Regulation (ICAS).
Over the past 25 years, Kapoor has helped companies establish and nurture brands through brand building, new product development, marketing strategy development as well as media strategies.
A champion of ethical advertising, Kapoor has spearheaded initiatives to enhance transparency and accountability in the industry.
