IMPACT unveils ‘40 Under Forty’ 2019 list at gala event in Mumbai
The second edition of IMPACT’s 40 Under Forty list features achievers who are aged 40 years and under in the Indian Media, Marketing and Advertising industry
IMPACT, the weekly magazine from the exchange4media Group, today unveiled the second edition of its ‘40 Under Forty’ list at a glittering event in Mumbai. The list features 40 top achievers aged 40 years and below in the Indian Media, Marketing and Advertising domain. The achievers on this year’s list have significant years of experience under them, made noteworthy contributions to their company and also the industry, and are at the cusp of being industry leaders. The list also sees representation from across domains – Media, Creative, Television, Digital and PR. A robust jury chaired by MV Shreyams Kumar, Joint Managing Director of Mathrubhumi, picked winners out of a shortlist of 85 names before finalising the 40 trailblazers on the list.
The other members of the jury were: Megha Tata, Managing Director - S Asia, Discovery Communications; Rana Barua, CEO, Havas Group India; Mahesh Shetty, Head - Network Sales, Viacom18; Uday Sodhi, Former Business Head - Digital, Sony Pictures Networks India; Basant Dhawan, CEO, English & Business News Cluster, Network18; Suresh Balakrishna, Chief Revenue Officer, The Hindu Group; Sharad Puri, General Manager, JW Marriott, Juhu and Janardan Pandey, Founder-Director, Nett Value Media Pvt Ltd.
Nominations and jury process
Earlier in July this year, IMPACT and the exchange4media Group called in for nominations and saw a phenomenal response with over 250 entries coming in! The editorial team at IMPACT then created a shortlist of 85 from the nominations, which was then presented to the jury complete with comprehensive profiles of each person. Speaking about the process, jury chair MV Shreyams Kumar had this to say, “We went through a rigorous process of choosing 40 out of 85 entries. I must say the entries were fabulous. We have such a huge talent pool in our country of young people in their 20s and 30s, who are making a real impact in this industry. It was difficult to choose the 40 out of 85 names because everyone had excellent qualities and deserved to be on the list. They have proved themselves and have contributed to the growth of their organization, to society as well and have new ways of looking at business.”
Here is the much-awaited final list of IMPACT’s 40 Under Forty, 2019. The names are listed in alphabetical order – the list has no ranking.
The list was presented by &TV, with Chivas Regal as Experience Partner and Laqshya Media Group as Celebration Partner.
