Madhuri Dixit Nene, fondly known as the ‘Dhak Dhak girl’ of Bollywood, ruled the silver screen in the '80s. She turned 51 yesterday. The actress took a break from the film industry after marriage as she moved to the US. She eventually returned and gave some fabulous performances in a handful of films and also started judging reality shows and actively endorsing products. She also served as the Brand Ambassador of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’ to promote girl education and save the girl child. 
She will be soon seen in a Marathi movie, ‘Bucket List’. On her birthday, we look at some of the most popular ad campaigns of the lady with the magical smile over the years.


Madhuri Dixit Nene was recently announced as the face of the mosquito repellent brand. The brand has completed its 25 years journey in India and came with a new tagline ‘Mom aur Mortein Sabse Tez’


Madhuri has been the face of the water purifier brand Aquaguard since three years. In 2015, Eureka Forbes roped in Madhuri and her husband Sriram Nene for a Rs 100 crore ad campaign. Her contract with Eureka Forbes is for five years. Last June, she featured in a TVC, ‘Farak Dikhta Hai’, and the ad film was well received by the audience.


Odonil roped in Madhuri Dixit in 2013. With her association, the brand launched a new product Odonil 2X.
The ad showed the double fragrance of the new Odonil 2X through a magical transformation of the surrounding environment.


FMCG brand Dabur also brought onboard Madhuri Dixit as brand ambassador for its Chyawanprash. We have seen her endorsing the brand in TVCs alongside print and digital campaigns.


In June 2016, Intex Technologies announced the actor as a brand ambassador for its new range of consumer durable products. Madhuri has endorsed the new range of Washing Machines and Refrigerators for the company. The actor was signed for a period of two years.


The brand Mahakosh was relaunched in 2014 in a new avatar and brought on Madhuri as the face of the brand to build the brand from scratch. Since 2014, and the brand has launched many TVCs featuring her. The company is a leading manufacturer of edible oil and soya food in India.
