Actors Vyjayanthimala, Dharmendra conferred with Living Legends awards

Two film veterans - Dharmendra and Dr Vyjayanthimala Bali - were honoured as Living Legends in Entertainment on the occasion.

Wit and humour, interlaced with the melody of foot-tapping numbers, wrapped in the memories of yesteryears, and studded with stars – such was the evening of that marked the conclusion of day one at FICCI Frames 2006. Two film veterans - Dharmendra and Dr Vyjayanthimala Bali - were honoured as Living Legends in Entertainment on the occasion. .
The evening opened with the winning jodi of Fame Gurukul, Kazi and Rooprekha, delivering foot-tapping renditions. Sailesh Lodha of 'Wah-Wah' (SAB TV) had the audience in splits with his brand of humour. .
Setting the tone for the evening was a sensitively crafted audio visual on the two great actors, the handiwork of King of Romance Yash Chopra himself. Amit Sana - of Indian Idol fame - sang a few numbers before the evening drew to a close. Awards for Yash Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan for 'Main Hoon Naa' were also announced. At the end of the day, it was a star-studded, melodious, mesmerising evening for the audience at FICCI Frames.
