It has been an eventful week so far with many key happenings from the world of media, advertising and broadcasting. Here’s an upshot of all the major events from the week gone by.

This week, the Pitch Madison Advertising Report 2020 was unveiled on February 13 at Taj, Santa Cruz. The report revealed that the ad market is poised to grow at 10.4 per cent this year and the total AdEx is expected to grow to Rs 74, 650 crore.

There were some key appointments this week. Pradeep Dwivedi was appointed as the CEO of Eros International Media.

HUL appointed Prabha Narasimhan as Executive Director – home care, replacing Priya Nair who went on become the Executive Director – beauty and personal care.

Publicis Groupe appointed Deepak Pant as Head, Data Science Practice.

Mansi Datta has been elevated to Managing Partner at Wavemaker where she will report to CEO Ajay Gupte.

Dorelle Kulkarni joined Publicis Health as Senior VP.

There were significant account wins too. Lowe Lintas took home the creative mandate of the chocolate candy brand Hershey India. The agency will manage the launch campaign of Hershey’s Kisses, which will go live in India.

MyTeam11 appointed dentsu X as the agency of record.

Last week, on February 13, 2020, the event management fraternity also suffered a huge loss when one of its prominent members passed away. Michael Menezes, responsible for setting up Showtime Group and EEMA, breathed his last.
