At the e4m PR & Corp Comm 30 under 30 Summit & Awards2025, our chief guest, Smt. Priyanka Chaturvedi, Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra and the Deputy Leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), delivered a compelling keynote that blended real-world political experience with timeless communication wisdom.

Opening her address, she expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “It is truly a privilege and an honour to be here,” adding that exchange4media has been a source of information, a source of guidance, and a platform to network with the very best in the country.

Speaking on the evolving communication landscape, Chaturvedi underscored a defining truth of today’s times, “Content and communication are king as we move forward in a highly interconnected world.” She noted that human interaction is rapidly shifting towards digital and online platforms, where attention spans are shrinking and messages must be sharper, faster, and more impactful. “We will have lesser people-to-people communication and more digital communication, with a much shorter time span to explain what we really want to convey,” she said.

Drawing from her parliamentary experience, Chaturvedi shared a powerful example on brevity and impact. “I get all of three minutes in Parliament to make my intervention. In those three minutes, I have to ensure my message reaches not just Members of Parliament, but the people at large,” she explained. This constraint, she added, has taught her the importance of mental editing and clarity. “Those three minutes force you to work on your communication in your head or sometimes end up going viral either for the message sent across or the stand I take,” she asserts.

Addressing PR and communications professionals, she offered a clear call to action, “Continue to make news. Engage deeply with your clients and truly understand their expectations.” She emphasised integrity as the foundation of success, stating, “Be totally honest in your commitment to your clients because effective communication is where success stories begin.”

In a strong closing message, Chaturvedi advocated openness and intellectual humility. “My opinion is a strong opinion, but that does not mean I do not listen to others,” she said. Urging professionals to think beyond silos, she added, “Let there be no walls. Let knowledge keep flowing from every angle and every perspective.” Lastly, she concluded, by saying that communication is powerful enough to convince not just those who believe in you, but even those who oppose you.

Ms Chaturvedi is a leader whose voice carries conviction, whose journey inspires many, and whose understanding of communication, governance, and public life makes her one of the most compelling women leaders of our times. A strong advocate of progressive leadership, she is widely regarded as a youth icon who understands the power of narrative, dialogue, and meaningful engagement—shaped by her early career in strategic communications and policy.

Through parliamentary debates and policy discussions, she has consistently championed issues related to governance, social justice, and inclusive development. As a trustee, she actively works towards children’s education, women’s empowerment, and healthcare. Let’s welcome her with a huge round of applause.
