Happy Birthday Nidhi Gulati: A purpose-driven leader and storyteller

Nidhi's journey has been truly inspiring and full of learnings. It began in the fast-paced world of television journalism at NewsX, where she spent over 16 years learning the craft of storytelling and understanding how stories are told and now she is the Country Communications Director at Springer Nature. However, she believes that her foundation in journalism continues to define her approach to communication today and taught her the fundamnetals of staying human, honest, and authentic storytelling and storyliving.

Over the years, she has brought that sensibility to boardrooms and brands alike, leading communications across sectors from financial services at Bajaj Finserv to technology at Tech Mahindra, and now to the world of scientific publishing at Springer Nature. Across these roles, she has steered complex narratives from managing crises to shaping culture and driving thought leadership at scale.

Her expertise spans corporate communications, leadership narratives, DEAI and CSR strategy, and reputation management. But for her, communication is not just a discipline, it’s a responsibility. She often says, “More than storytelling, we need story living, stories that people can feel, understand, and believe.”

Gulati is an avid traveller and lifelong learner with postgraduate degrees in Mass Communication, Broadcast Journalism, and Business Management. Furthermore, she mentors young professionals with the same generosity and giving back to the industry that taught and supported her throughout.

As she celebrates another year, Nidhi continues to explore the intersection of communication, technology, and empathy, pushing the boundaries of how communications and stories can shape culture and drive change.
